The Spoke-back Sofa is one of Børge Mogensen's most famous designs, first presented in 1945 as a proposal for the ”furniture type of the future”. In the Spoke-back Sofa, a chaise longue and conversation sofa are combined into one piece of furniture that is both practical and expressive. The light construction in solid wood with removable cushions means that the sofa can always be renewed, and this is one of the reasons why it has been valued as a beloved classic for generations.
