The metal table PAIR is designed by David Thulstrup for Møbel Copenhagen. It can be combined with Møbel Copenhagen's ceramic side table, which breaks with the traditional idea of an independent piece of lounge furniture, hence the name. The combination creates a strong contrast of solid materials, colors, and surfaces. The side tables can stand alone or be combined as a pair.
The two tables are made of ceramic and metal respectively, two different and honest materials that work surprisingly well together. The soft and glossy ceramic creates an interesting contrast to the cold, matte metal. The cavity of one table attracts the surface of the other, as if they were interdependent objects created to belong together. The low table can be placed next to the taller table, providing an extra surface, or used to create storage space between them.
