The chair that lives for generations
Jørgen Bækmark was tasked at the time with designing a chair series for the more mature segment of FDB customers. The chair series was also to be based on the production methods that the chair factory in Tarm was so skilled in. On that basis, the J81 was created.
For generations, the chair with its turned spindles and woven seat has been the safe choice for the dining room, where both design and comfort should ideally come together in perfect harmony.
Materials and production
The chair is made of oak and paper cord. The wood used is FSC-certified and comes from European forests. The chair has been carefully adapted and adjusted to today's sizes and seating comfort - naturally in collaboration with Jørgen Bækmark himself.
