At the time, Jørgen Bækmark was commissioned to design a series of chairs for the more mature segment of FDB customers. The chair series was also to be based on the production methods that the chair factory in Tarm was so skilled in. Against this background, the J80 was created.
For generations, the chair with the turned spindles and the paper cord seat has been the reliable choice for the dining room, where design and comfort should come together in perfect harmony.
Materials and production
The chair is in smoked oak and paper cord. The wood used is FSC-certified and comes from European forests.
The chair has been gently adapted and adjusted to modern-day sizes and seating comfort – naturally in collaboration with Jørgen Bækmark himself.
