FDB Møbler J18 Chair by Børge Mogensen, Oiled Oak

A calm, Nordic design. Simplicity and functionality are the focus of Børge Mogensen's design from 1945.

The J18 chair was designed by Børge Mogensen in 1945. Like other of Mogensen's well-known FDB Møbler chairs, this model is executed in a Nordic and clean design, stripped of decorations and unnecessary ornamentation and simply designed and produced with a focus on function and simplicity. The chair, which is inspired by the old English Windsor chairs from the 18th century, is comfortable to sit in. The solid backrest flows into the armrests, which can be pushed under most tabletops. The wooden seat tilts comfortably back slightly into the bowl-shaped recess.

B-grade: This batch of chairs is classified as B-grade, as the surface structure may be slightly rough in some places. This cosmetic detail does not affect the chair's functionality, and the chair retains its robustness and comfort, as can be expected from a product from FDB Møbler.

Material: Oiled solid oak. The wood used is FSC-certified and comes from European forests. The chair is Swan-labeled.
