Udon is a seemingly simple chair, but in reality, an enormous amount of craftsmanship lies behind this modern chair from Swedish Hem. Designer Staffan Holm drew inspiration from archetypal bentwood chairs, borrowed traditional Japanese carpentry traditions, and used only a few simple joints to maintain a clean line and open structure.
