The baby bed has a flexible design that grows with your child. Use the crib with the raised base and high ends during the first few months. This will protect your back when putting your baby to sleep. When your child begins to be able to stand up, we recommend that you lower the base. When the crib sides are no longer needed, you can purchase a smart module that transforms the baby bed into an open bed or a small, cozy sofa. The baby bed with an open side must not be used as a bedside sleeper next to the parents' bed. The bed is not approved as a bedside sleeper.
NOTE: The bed cannot be used as either an open bed or a sofa without the use of the conversion kit.
