The Spoke-back Sofa is one of Børge Mogensen's most famous designs, first presented in 1945 as a proposal for the "furniture type of the future". In the Spoke-back Sofa, a chaise longue and a conversation sofa are combined into one piece of furniture that is both practical and expressive. The lightweight construction in solid wood with removable cushions ensures that the sofa can always be renewed, which is one of the reasons it has been valued as a beloved classic for generations.
